Santa...Adored from Afar

This morning we made our annual trip to Northpark Center to see Santa! Daddy went and got us tickets early again on his way to work. Thank you Daddy! We arrived just in time for storytime with Santa. Abbie sat in my lap and listened to Santa tell his stories. Every so often she would turn around to me and say "Santa" with a big smile on her face. She recognizes Santa wherever we go these days and always points him out to me. After storytime, it was time to take her picture with Santa. She was fine until we got up close to him and then started wailing! She did not want to sit on Santa's lap. So here is out attempt at a picture with Santa! Even her favorite ball and Elmo couldn't help when sitting on Santa's lap.

Here is Abbie in happier times with Santa last year. Well they really weren't much better! This was taken before she turned around to see who's lap she was sitting on. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. Then she turned around and the wailing began.

After the traumatic experience with Santa, we headed to Chick-Fil-A. That certainly cheered her up fast! We both loved eating with Daddy on a work day. Then we headed home, and she promptly fell asleep in the car. She is currently still napping away. I can't imagine doing this next year with two of them!

I love it!! "Terrified of Santa" pictures are the best! We go see the Northpark Santa in a couple weeks and I have a feeling Avery will be the same way :)
