Stephen and I woke up bright and early so we would be ready for the day when Abbie woke up. She was so worn out from yesterday that we had to go in and wake her up at 8:00! She was cheerful and excited as always when she woke up.
Wake up sleepy Abbie!
Jumping around in her crib as she does every morning and after her nap! It takes forever to get her out!
We got her ready for the day and fed her breakfast before we put all of her Santa presents under the tree. I knew once she saw those presents there would be no tearing her away! She first noticed a shopping cart and basket of fruit and vegetables that Santa (Mommy and Daddy) gave her. She loved giving everyone the food and pushing her new shopping cart around! She would even put her purse that Mimi and BeBe gave her on her shoulder and start pushing her cart telling everyone around her "bye-bye"! She also loved helping everyone open their presents.

Bailey loved chewing the boxes, as always! Abbie would walk over to her and say "No No BaBa"!She also loved sitting and playing at the new table and chairs Great Grandma and Grandpa Carter gave her! She would insist that someone sit with her at her table. She played with her new ducky game at the table forever! She loves to turn it on (thank you BeBe for showing her how) and listen to them go around in a circle quaking. It was driving everyone else crazy, but she loved it!

We also opened our stockings. Abbie loved pulling out all of the small presents, including a notepad, truck and stickers!

Later in the afternoon, we went for a walk with her new wagon from Mimi and BeBe. She rode in it for about 5 seconds and then preferred to walk by it. What can I say, that girl loves to walk! All day long all I hear is "side" for outside and walk. She is as bad as Bailey about wanting to go for a walk. After her walk, she and Daddy played football with their new Penn State football. Daddy, Abbie and Carter also received a bunch of Penn State gear for Christmas. Stay tuned for their big viewing of the Rose Bowl in a few days!

By now it was time to eat! Stephen got to carve the turkey for the first time as this was our first time to have a holiday at our house! He did a great job, although some of the pieces were rather thick. I think one slice he ate was half a pound itself! It still tasted wonderful! Abbie loved the turkey as well.
At the end of our wonderful Christmas day it was time for Abbie to get her bath and go to bed. It was a special treat to have BeBe and Grandma Carter with her for her bath. She showed them all her tricks, including how she likes to lay down on her tummy in the water and kick like she is at swim class.
She went around and gave everyone kisses before she went to bed. She even gave one to Bailey! As we were walking her out of the room, she waved and said "night-night'' to everyone. What a wonderful way to end our second Christmas with Abbie! We are looking forward to next year when Carter will be playing with his toys at Christmas too!
