Abbie’s Big Christmas Day!

Today was a day filled with lots of fun for Abbie!  I was really worried she would have to stay home from school and ballet today.  On Tuesday night her eyes started to get red.  By the next morning they were red and goopy, so we went to the doctor and started drops right away.  Thankfully they were starting look better by this morning and since she had been on the drops for a day, she was able to go to school.  She would have been devastated if she had missed all of the fun today!
The day started with her Winter party at school.  All of the Kindergartners were divided into groups and rotated through five of the rooms doing different activities.  Since I am a room mom, I always have to volunteer to help with the activities.  Thankfully, Stephen was able to come and take turns with me being with Abbie and helping with the activity.  A big thank you to Mimi and Bebe who came to watch the little kids!
Abbie was so excited for her party and so happy that we were both there!  She had a great time going around and doing all of the fun activities.

I always love having the opportunity to visit Abbie at school and see her friends and her classroom.  She has such a sweet little class, and Mrs. Murphy is the best teacher!

Abbie had to pick out a stocking to take in to school.  Of course she chose the pinkest, girliest one she could find!  The stockings looked so cute and festive strung up across the classroom.

After the party, we all said our goodbyes and left Abbie to enjoy the rest of her day at school.

Today was also her Christmas ballet performance.  Abbie was so excited to have all of us there to watch her, including Mimi and Bebe!  We all waited in the hall until it was time for the show.

Carter has been sitting in the hallway while Abbie is in ballet class for three years now!  He started when he was one and a half.  He has made his own little hallway friends through the years with the other younger siblings who have to wait.  This is how they spend a lot of their time!

Elisabeth has spent much of her short little life waiting in the hallway too!  She usually has a bottle and messes with her brother.  Today she was having fun with her baby hallway friend, Ryder!

After a lot of waiting, it was finally time for the big performance!  Abbie did a great job, as usual.  She is such a good listener and always follows the teacher’s directions.  I have no idea if she has actual talent, but she is one of the best dancers at this age simply because she pays attention and follows instructions!  We were all so proud of her!

We all had such a fun day sharing in the festive fun together!
