Tonight Nan and Pop took us out to eat to Outback! The restaurant was surprisingly empty. Abbie and Carter had fun talking to Nana and Pop while Elisabeth slept in her carseat.
After dinner, Abbie, Carter and I went to the square to meet up with the Bynums for the Memorial Day fireworks! Michelle and her family had found the perfect spot on the grass for us to watch the fireworks. All of the kids were so excited to see each other as usual. They always have such a great time when they are together. They ran around and played before enjoying some ring pops.
Michelle’s brother-in-law, Travis, bought all the kids Sponge Bob popsicles. So kind! The kids loved eating the special treat. (However, the maker of the Sponge Bob popsicle is not as kind to moms. The black gum eyes and bright yellow and red dye were not easy to get out of Carter’s white shirt!)
Next we waited in a long line for balloon animals the kids just had to have. Abbie and Julia got little puppies while Carter and Michael got swords. Of course, Carter’s popped within minutes of having it. Ugh! Poor boy was sad but got over it quickly. Good thing it was almost time for the big fireworks show!
Carter loved watching the fireworks. He sat in his little chair and stared happily at the sky. So adorable!
And then there was Abbie. This is how she spent the entire show! So typical.
We had such a fun day with all of our family and friends!
