Last Day of Summer

Today was our last day of summer because Abbie starts school tomorrow. We decided to go down and spend the day with Mimi and Bebe since we hadn’t seen them in a while.

Abbie and Carter LOVE Mimi and Bebe’s house. They started squealing with excitement as we exited the freeway to go to their house. Both of them were very excited to see Mimi and Bebe and started playing with them right away. Piggyback races were a big hit with the little ones!

It briefly rained after lunch and Abbie and Carter wanted to go outside to play in it.

Carter has to do everything that Abbie does these days. He loves mimicking her. He frequently makes the same movements she does and repeats words or sounds she says.

Carter loved playing in the water pouring out of the drain. Here he is letting it fall on his toes. How can a boy who only ways 23 pounds have such a big belly?!? He must be all belly.

The rain didn’t last long. After naps we all headed outside for some more play time. Mimi and Carter played with the bubbles. He likes to do it all by himself but hasn’t quite mastered it yet! As you can see from the picture, he has not realized he has to actually blow on the bubble stick. He just blows into the air. Silly!

Abbie and Bebe went for a little walk down the street. She was not interested in taking pictures.

We all went to eat at Fudrucker’s before we headed home. We didn’t get home until 8:00 so it was a late night for Abbie and Carter. We had so much fun with Mimi and Bebe. It was a wonderful way to end our summer!
