The Nutcracker Tea

This afternoon we went to a Nutcracker Tea with Michelle and Julia.  It was the perfect girly, holiday thing to do with our best friends!  Michelle had mentioned doing some sort of Nutcracker tea or breakfast a while ago.  I happened to notice one day while waiting for Abbie in ballet that her dance school put on a Nutcracker Tea.  It must be a popular event because we were lucky to get some of the last 4 seats together!

The girls were able to take pictures with the dancers, enjoy food and a chocolate fountain, watch performances from The Nutcracker, do crafts and even see Santa and Mrs. Claus!  It was a lot of fun!  It was also fun to spend time with Michelle and Julia, as well as to see Abbie’s current and past ballet teachers and some of her ballet friends.

Abbie loved having her picture taken with all the dancers.  She was very excited about the idea of being able to dance in The Nutcracker one day!  Her teacher said that she should audition to be a mouse next year  (the youngest dancers are mice).  She loved that idea!

Abbie and Julia had front row seats for the performances!  All of the little girls got to go up to the front and watch.  They were both very excited and were captivated the entire time!

We all had a great time with the various activities!  Seeing Santa for the first time this year was definitely a hit!

After the Tea, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and gorgeous hotel grounds on the Waterway to walk around outside.  We had so much fun hanging out with our friends and enjoying some holiday (girly) fun.  I am really looking forward to next year when Elisabeth can join in on the fun!
