Elisabeth’s First Trip to the Zoo

Today we took Elisabeth to the zoo for the very first time!  Abbie and Carter had been asking to go to the zoo for a while, and we finally had a free day to go.  The weather was perfect (well for visiting the zoo, not for the end of November!) and we all had a fun time.

Our first stop was to feed the giraffes and to eat lunch at our favorite restaurant over-looking the giraffes.  Feeding the giraffes turns our “free” trip to the zoo (We have a membership.) into a not so cheap activity!  Add on food and treats and it is even more expensive.  Oh well, feeding the giraffes is one of their favorite things to do!   Steve was holding Elisabeth and at one point turned his back to help one of the other kids and one of the giraffes almost got a nibble of little Elisabeth!

After lunch, we rode the carousel, another favorite.  Abbie and Carter were in silly moods this day!

After a quick stop to show Elisabeth the giraffe statue, we were finally off to look at some animals.

I am not sure exactly what Elisabeth thought of the zoo.  I do think she had fun being out and about with the big kids though!

This is how the kids traveled around the zoo.  Thankfully there is still room for all three of them on the double stroller!

We visited a few more things before heading home.  It was such a fun family day and the perfect way to end our Thanksgiving Break!
