A Visit from Aunt Ellen!

Aunt Ellen came for a visit this weekend!  We all loved seeing her and had a great time during her stay.  The kids loved playing with her!  They painted little boxes, went to the playground, played outside…just had a great time!  Aunt Ellen told us of a funny story when she took Carter to the playground while Abbie was still at school.  Ellen was talking to Carter about how the bees eat “something” in the flower, not thinking he would understand/know the word nectar.  She said Carter looked up at her with a quizzical look on his face and said, “You mean nectar?”  We all thought that was hilarious!  He is definitely our little smarty.  Carter was so sad when she left.  He just cried his little heart out.  It broke my heart.  I assured him that Aunt Ellen would come for another visit and that we would go see her, too.  Abbie and Elisabeth missed her as well.  Elisabeth was very excited to meet her aunt for the first time.  She even gave Aunt Ellen the first of her very special, open-mouthed kisses when prompted!   Thanks for coming Aunt Ellen!  We all had a great time!
