Mimi decided to come visit us for the day! It was the perfect day for her to come visit because she got to see all sorts of activities.
The day started with me having to make 22 turkey-shaped turkey and cheese sandwiches for Abbie’s Thanksgiving Feast at school. I thought they turned out very cute! Sadly, I don’t think many were eaten. Abbie said the Feast was late in the day and by then everyone was full from lunch and various snacks. She said she didn’t think anyone ate my sandwiches. Great. I am happy they looked cute but am thinking Carter and Elisabeth will not get turkey-shaped Thanksgiving Feast sandwiches in their future!
We dropped off the sandwiches at Abbie’s school and then headed to Soccer Tots. Carter was very excited Mimi was there to watch him today and did a great job as usual. He really loves soccer and Coach Mark.
Abbie had her Thanksgiving Feast at the end of the school day. She said she had a lot of fun. I was not there but was able to get a few pictures from her teacher’s photo-sharing website.
(Pictures to Come)
We picked Abbie up from the bus stop and went straight to ballet. Today was her big Thanksgiving performance of the Turkey Tango! Steve even came by to watch her performance. She did a wonderful job! She clearly knew the dance and even had to help her partner figure out what to do. I don’t know how she ends up with clueless partners every year! We were all very proud of her wonderful job, and she had a great time! She loved posing for pictures with her friends and teacher afterward.
After ballet it was time to go to Carter’s very first basketball practice! He is doing a little league through the Y for the next few months and actually seems very excited about it! He couldn’t wait for his first practice and did a great job for never having picked up a basketball before! We are all looking forward to his first game on Saturday!
Basketball practice ended at 6:30. We all rushed home and ate a quick Sonic dinner before going to bed after a very busy, but fun, day!
