Father’s Day Weekend

This weekend we celebrated the fathers in our lives.  On Saturday, we drove down to Mimi and Bebe’s house.  Of course the kids wanted to do their usual summer activity when they visit, swimming!  They had the best time swimming and even started jumping off the diving board for the first time!  Abbie is able to jump off and swim to the side of the pool all by herself.  Carter jumps off and is caught by someone (usually Bebe) in the deep end.  I was so proud of both of them!

After swimming we went out to dinner to celebrate.  It was a great day!

Sunday we had a low key day.  I did some cleaning and shopping and Stephen worked on the yard.  There are no days off when you have three small kids!

Abbie and Carter were so excited to give Daddy the gifts they had made for him at school!

Carter’s gifts included a picture of him dressed as a ladybug (his class animal) and a poem about Daddy based on Carter’s responses.  Carter loved hearing his Daddy read the funny things he had said about him!

I think the picture of him dressed as a ladybug is just about the funnies thing!

Abbie made a picture frame and drawings for her Daddy.  She loved giving them to him.

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!
