Abbie’s Open House

Tonight we all went up to the school after dinner for Abbie’s Open House.  It was very hectic trying to get everyone fed and ready to be there on time but we made it!  (I don’t know why I didn’t take any pictures of Elisabeth while we were there.  She was very good the entire time and just watched everything from her stroller.)

First, we visited Abbie’s classroom.  She showed us where she sits and some of her work.  She also sang us the alphabet song and showed us where she sits on the rug.

Her friend, David, sits right next to her.  I think he has a little crush on Abbie!  His parents told us he talks about Abbie all the time and he even made a card for her.  All of this has Daddy very worried!

Here they are next to the birthdays.  Abbie and Mrs. Murphy are the only ones with birthdays in March which was a shock to me since we always have a million in March.  I am glad it will be special for Abbie at school.  (Carter is the worst photo bomber!  Every time I tried to get a picture of Abbie he would jump in at the last minute.  He does this all the time!)

Our house was on display on the wall.  I am glad she can look at it during the day if she misses us.
Abbie loved seeing Mrs. Murphy and we got to meet some of the friends she talks about a lot which was fun.

After visiting her classroom, we walked around the school and saw some of her Specials teachers as well as the library.  They also went outside to play on the Kindergarten playground.  It is huge!  The other playground is even bigger!  They had a great time playing on it together.

By this time it was getting dark and it was time to go home.  We still had to do baths and get to bed for school the next day.  We loved seeing Abbie at school and meeting her friends.  It was a fun night!
