Today was our first full day in Omaha! We were so excited to spend more time with Great Grandma and Grandpa, as well as Joan, CJ and Kate.
Our morning started with some play time in the backyard. Abbie and Carter both loved the big backyard and had fun sliding and playing soccer. Later they had their snack with Mimi and Aunt Bev on the deck.
Later we went to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa. We all had a nice time visiting and catching up. The kids loved exploring their apartment and all the little treasures, just like I used to when I was little. Great Grandma and Grandpa always have snacks and candy, which was a big hit with Abbie and Carter! After our visit, we took Great Grandma out for lunch to the Village Inn. It was free pie day! The kids both sat very well during lunch and we all had a nice time. Once it was over, we dropped Great Grandma off and headed home to Aunt Bev’s for naps.
After naps, we went to Joan’s house to play and have dinner. Abbie was so excited to see CJ and Kate! We had been talking about them for a while leading up to our trip and she couldn’t wait to see them again. We played inside for a little while and then went outside to play. It was a beautiful summer night! The kids all had fun playing on the playground and in the sand. Later we brought dinner home from Red Robin and all enjoyed eating outside. It was a perfect summer night, and I think Abbie and Carter both had the best time playing with their cousins (well second cousins I guess, but close enough
