Our Thanksgiving Day

We hope all of our family and friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for, especially our three little monkeys, Abbie, Carter and Bailey. We enjoyed spending the day with our family and eating delicious food!

Our day started around 8:00 when Abbie woke up. Thank you for letting us sleep in Abbie! We got up and all had a yummy breakfast of waffles. After breakfast, we headed outside so that we were out of Mimi's kitchen. Abbie was happy to be outside all morning! She loves playing outside and taking walks. The kids next door came out to play with Abbie and brought their dog, Buster, out with them. Abbie has become quite fond of Buster and is always looking out the window for him. She can even say his name! Abbie had a great time playing ball with Devon and Buster.
Around noon, Abbie came in and ate her lunch. Then we put her down for an early nap around 1:00. She got up around 2:30 and then it was time for more fun! Great Grandma and Grandpa Carter came over to spend the afternoon with us.

Abbie enjoyed showing everyone her shopping cart and other toys. Then she headed into the kitchen to watch Mimi as she finished cooking dinner. Of course, Bailey had already been in the kitchen all day. Bailey in her spot under the turkey.

After dinner, we headed back outside to take a nice walk. Abbie loved having all the company on her walk.

We came back inside for the night and had dessert. Mimi had made pumpkin pie, pecan pie and brownies. Abbie enjoyed her first bites of brownie! Thank you for all the delicious food Mimi! Then it was time for Abbie to have a bath and get ready for bed. We ended our wonderful Thanksgiving day by watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!

Bailey was ready for bed too!

Well, Abbie only stayed awake for a few minutes and was in bed by 7:15. She was exhausted from her fun day! She slept until 8:15 the next morning! We all had a great time spending Abbie's second Thanksgiving together!
