Abbie's First Haircut!

Grammy and I took Abbie to get her very first haircut this morning after Gymboree. She was fine in the store. However, the second we put her in the little fire truck to sit she wanted nothing to do with it! She cried through the entire thing! The stylist was only trying to trim the very edges so that all the hair was even in the back. You would have thought this was the end of the world for Abbie. We tried various things to distract her and none worked. 20 minutes later she finally let me just hold her standing up and the stylist cut her hair in the middle of the store. I think the actual cutting took maybe a minute but we were there for 30 minutes! Thank goodness the stylist was used to little kids and was very patient with Abbie. We left with a certificate of her first haircut and a baggie with some of her hair. Hopefully she will do better next time!
