Since his birthday party is this afternoon, it basically turned the whole day into a big celebration. (Why does it feel like we end up celebrating their birthdays for an entire week?!?) He started the morning with his favorite breakfast, big donuts! He thought it was pretty neat that we put 4 candles in his donut for him to blow out while we sang “Happy Birthday”.
All morning he kept waiting for his party, which was right after lunch. He couldn’t wait for it to be time! I will do a separate post all about his fun party.
Of course I had to take lots of pictures of the Birthday Boy! He is getting so big!
After the party, we came home to open presents! He was given so many great gifts and had a lot of fun opening them.
One of his favorite presents is his new big bike from Mimi and Bebe. He finally is tall enough for a bike that is the same size as Abbie’s bike. He was pretty excited!
He rode his new bike down to the playground with Mimi, Bebe and Abbie and had a fun afternoon playing.
After playing at the playground, we all went out to eat at Chili’s for his birthday dinner. Even though he is really shy about it, he still wanted to be sung to at the restaurant for his birthday. He is such a sweet boy!
We probably go a little overboard celebrating our kids’ birthdays, but when you have three kids it is difficult to give each of them the attention you wish you could. We like to give each of them a super special day where it is all about them for their birthday. I definitely think Carter’s 4th birthday was a great one! We love you SO much, Carter!
