Abbie and I were so excited summer was finally here so we could go on a road trip back to Plano! We had been looking forward to going back to visit all of our friends for a long time. Thankfully Mimi was able to stay with Carter while we were away. It was so much fun to get away, just the two of us!
We left on Wednesday around lunch time and arrived in Plano in time to go out to dinner with Maggie, Shannon and Gracie! We met at our usual OTB since Abbie and Gracie both LOVE chips and salsa. It was so much fun to see Maggie and Shannon again, and we had a great dinner. After dinner we headed back to Maggie’s house. She was so great to let us stay with her! Abbie loves Maggie and had so much fun checking out her cats. Abbie just didn’t quite understand why they spent almost our entire visit under Maggie’s bed!
On Thursday morning, Abbie and I headed over to Wendy and Griffin’s house for a little playgroup reunion. It was so much fun to see everyone again! Later that day, Maggie, Abbie and I went to Shannon and Gracie’s house to play and eat pizza. Abbie and Gracie just had the best time playing together in Gracie’s awesome playroom. Gracie has a great dress-up box that Abbie just had to explore. She definitely loves to dress up!
Abbie loved eating dinner with Gracie. She actually even ate 1 piece of pizza! I loved just spending some relaxing time with Shannon and Maggie. After a fun day of playing with friends, we headed back to Maggie’s house for bed.
On Friday morning, we met a bunch of friends from college and their children to play at a mall playarea. We had been to the mall a million times before to play, but it had new play equipment this time. Abbie had a great time running around with Gracie and all the other kids. We then headed over to the Food Court for CFA! We had a great lunch before we had to say goodbye to Shannon and Gracie.
We went back to Maggie’s house to pack up the car and head home just after lunch. Abbie was very sad she had to say goodbye to Maggie. We both had a great time with all of our friends! We can’t wait to go back for another visit!
